Eating Disorders
Eating disorders are one of the most prominent mental health disorders and also one of the least talked about. Eating disorders are misunderstood, joked about and ignored yet have a profound impact on one’s social, mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. It is crucial that they are caught and treated early to avoid long-lasting harm. Eating disorders affect men and women and often surface in the adolescent years.
Recovering from an Eating Disorder is possible. There are different treatment modalities that meet the client where they are and help guide them to lasting change.
Move toward healing.
Trauma
Trauma is an emotional and physical response to a stressful or dangerous event that overwhelms a person’s ability to cope. We offer several specific types of trauma treatment. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, narrative therapy, hypnotherapy and EMDR have all been standard approaches. Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Neurofeedback or EEG Biofeedback both target the brain to get ‘unstuck’ from trauma so you can move forward.
